Is y2k an important
subject to talk about? (YES) It should have never been put on the back
burner by the government! They haven't even thought the whole thing
out! (if you ask me)... It does not seem as, if there is even a good
reason for ignoring the possibilities of what might happen
ever !
Could computers be just
a small part of the problem? Technology has taken many steps ahead
of the game concerning what we can do with computers today... The
computers that we use today to run industry, businesses, and compile information
for the nations (data bank), banking, trust, welfare, social security systems
at the county, city, state levels, ect...
Are at risk!
It will be interesting
to know what the government plans to do if things fail in the year 2000?
It does not seem impossible
that any one the leaders today in technology should already have computers
for sale with new clocks installed and ready to run!
hmmm...
With all the money spent
to date to fix the y2k problem seems like a waste of money! How could
you be sure that this can be fixed? We still have to wait till 2000
to find out if the clocks will turn over! If the clocks do not turn
over how will they fix it? What will they do? Sounds like a
good topic for discussion...
At some point there is
more than reasonable fear exercised by the amount of monies that has been
spent so far... I do not see how we can continue to accept the fact
that you usually do not fix anything, until it is broken... For starters
if we may look at the problem and see what's at stake: What happens if
the information data bases fail? If everything that has been recorded
over
time is erased?
What does this mean?
Does our government know
how to handle a global disaster of this nature? What about the people?
This could include planes, cars, trains, ships, radar, and military weapons
ect. that can be controlled by computer chips!!! Basically anything
that is controlled by computer chips counts as well!!!
Sounds like cause to worry...
What does it take to inform
our government that there may not be any quick solutions to the problem
at hand... That this is a serious problem for them than the people???
My guess is that someone has the answer, and the next line of computers
for the new millennium!!! At what cost is the next question?
Could the government afford
to by all new computers? (and pay cash) Could our government afford
the loss of money owed to them, if all their records of debts owed are
erased? How would they deal with an enormous debt like this.
Thank GOD we do not have another Abraham Lincoln to tax us to death, a
second time around...
Not that the people would
stand still for that this time around!!! Now is the time for people
to take heed to what's right in front of them. The age of information
is a time for us to pull together
and stop pussy footin'
around with our freedom cause it's knockin' at the door!!! One mans
loss is another mans gain...
This could be the chance
that the people need to take control of their own existence... We
the People can make the difference if we put our minds to it! There
must be some reason that Bill Clinton is so interested in the internet.
Seems to me that he has his eye on the Net for a reason!
How about Mr. Gates could
there be some dark secret concerning Windows (software) that could surface
and come back to haunt him? After all in his movie Bill Gates is
boasting that he stole it first!!! WHAT! Sounds fishy to me...
I tried to put my webpage
together using Power Point (MS software) because of the animation, but
it crashed everything except MS Explorer!!! What's up with that Mr.
Gates could this be a reason that finds you in the courtroom!!!
I can not think of a better
place for you to be!
How does if feel???
I am a firm believer that
the truth will be known about Mr. Gates...
I can not respect the
beep! for the way that he treated Netscape another good reason for his
many visits to the courtroom...
I would love to see Montel
Williams have Gates on his show, have Gates show the world that he
can operate a computer (personally) using only PowerPoint to build a simple
webpage and then launch the page in Netscape (ONLY) to show that it will
work, for the Nation to see!!! Of course Montel would have to supply
the computer and software hahahahahahaha !!!
I wonder if Gates ever
thinks that his fortune was built on something that someone once thought
he'd be likely to try and steal (first) hmmm...
This is something to consider.
Why is it that any of
Microsoft products do not work together with other software, or browsers???
It is an extra charge just to have your server turn on the microsoft plug-in
??? (sounds fishy)! Maybe if anyone was to blame for a problem such as
this, it could spell out Anti-Trust Lawsuit?
I feel that the only thing
Microsoft has that is compatible, is the program called "WINDOWS"...
Windows is used by everyone, and works!!! On the other hand you can
not seem to use Microsoft products that work online successfully with the
internet without crashing!!!
Could Gates have something
wrong with his version of windows? Wouldn't it be something if maybe
Netscape found out that Microsoft would not include the Netscape browser
with Microsoft products because Microsoft knew it's version to not support
Netscape?
Thus leaving Gates (ASS
OUT!!!) nothing has changed as of yet with Microsoft products they do not
support Netscape!!! This is also why I do not have graphics, nor
do I have animation, and my site would be so much kooler!
